Tuesday 20 January 2024: A new communications and content offering has launched with two senior PR and comms experts joining forces with an accomplished photojournalist and filmmaker.
Having worked together on the launch of Bonza, Australia’s newest airline, in 2023 – the trio have formed a collective that puts content and communications hand-in-hand.
The Comms. People include Heather Mollins who was most recently Head of Communications at Bonza and prior to that, held senior roles at Ogilvy, Sefiani and Seven Communications. She has led campaigns for Tourism Australia, Carnival Cruise Lines, Stayz, MLA amongst others. She was recently shortlisted for PR of the Year at the Travel Weekly Women in Travel Awards and is a judge in this year’s Mumbrella CommsCon Awards.
Mollins works alongside Jennifer Swaine who has over 30 years experience and is currently Chair of the Sunshine Coast Business Awards, Non-Executive Director of Visit Sunshine Coast and the Business & Tourism Lead of Sunshine Coast 2032 Olympic Committee.
The pair work closely with Peter Wallis – a photojournalist and filmmaker who has photographed an extensive range of personalities and news stories including sports, politics, entertainment and much more. Wallis’ worked at the Courier Mail for 19 years and his work regularly features in Herald Sun, Daily Telegraph, The Australian and Australian Financial Review.
“We are not a classic communications agency. We don’t believe in over engineering a brief and instead use data, experience and intuition to deliver high quality outcomes for clients. Finding a brand’s narrative and delivering it is what we do best. The three of us work together closely to bring to life an idea using great words, photography and video. Our approach is clear, simple, consistent and it works,” said Mollins.
Sunscreen brand Ochre Sun, which uses native botanicals providing tangible benefits to Indigenous communities, is working with The Comms. People as a foundation client.
“We are thrilled to be working with Ochre Sun who are a sunscreen PPE provider to businesses who have employees outdoors. We will be delivering a full program of content and communications for this impressive organisation including raising the profile of its Founder and CEO Alana Kennedy – a formidable female Indigenous business leader,” added Mollins.
Mollins is encouraging organisations who are interested in learning more to reach out.
Ends.
